PALMIPEDARIUM CARTOON Got Its Grand Prix on the X-th International Multividenie Animation Festival
Results of the X-th International Multividenie International Festival were rendered. Over a period of four days, from the 1-th till the 4-th of November 2012, in Aurora cinema theatre the best competitive motions for adults and children were demonstrated, moreover, the best cartoons were also presented. All in all, 200 competitive motions were introduced.
In Erarta Museum of Modern Arts the whole Sunday long one can visit programmes for children and courses in animation for the youngest ones, and in the evening a special selection of extreme animation will be shown. What is more, there is an exhibition of video installation presented in Erarta, it is open till November 18.
Grand Prix and 1000 € were given to Palmipedarium animation film (director Jeremy Clapin, France) – a story about a freaky creature with a big beak, found in the woods by a boy, who was coming back with his father from the hunting. The boy did his best to transform the creature into a bird.
An award for the Best Visual Track was given to Solipsist motion (director Andrew Huang, USA) – incredible, fascinating with its beauty short about a mystic transformation of people and fish-aliens.
The best student film was Cats in the Pool (director Kim Bo-kyoung, Korea) – the main character fancies he sees a perished cat.
The Best Film for Children was voted to be animation series Masha and the Bear. Breathe! Don’t Breathe! (director Georgy Orlov, Russia), and an award Best Experimental Motion was given to Videogiocco (director Donato Sansone, Italy) – an utterly successful experiment about the adventures of the cut head among the drawings and pictures on the floor.
