Disney-Pixar’s animated features are among the nominees in the Oscars 2013

Disney-Pixar’s animated features received 4 nominations for the 2013 Academy Awards.

Nominations for the Best Animation are: Disney-Pixar’s movie “Brave” directed by Mark Andrews and Brenda Chapman; Tim Burton's black-and-white stop-motion feature “Frankenweenie” and Disney’s animated feature “Wreck-It Ralph” directed by Emmy Award winner Rich Moore.

Disney’s  “Paperman” directed by John Kahrs is one of the nominees in the Short Animated Film category. It blends traditional animation and computer animation. The short's theatrical release was before the feature film “Wreck-It Ralph”.

The winners of  the 85th Academy Awards will be announced on February 24, 2013.
